Founded in 2016, our brand was born from founder Jordan Flynn's vision during a two-year international assignment where she couldn't work in her traditional career. Channeling her creative energy, she began hand-crafting jewelry that solved a real problem - creating pieces with the durability and beauty of expensive jewelry, but at prices that didn't require a special occasion to justify.
We recognized that modern women deserved better than the false choice between cheap jewelry that disappoints and luxury pieces that drain savings accounts. Every piece Jordan initially created - from carefully applied gold plating to the signature textured finish of our acclaimed fringe earrings - was personally crafted and dispatched to clients who were tired of replacing their favorite pieces every few months.

Looking back to the spring of 2016, just before Mod + Jo launched, I have a clear memory of a conversation with a fellow expat while sitting in rush hour traffic about the concept of the brand. It honestly felt like a far-off idea when asked if I planned on taking it full-time when I would return home. In the moment, it felt like a hobby, something that I could do to fill my time while my husband and I were living abroad. Little did I know I was solving a problem I'd experienced myself - finding jewelry that was both beautiful and built to last, without the luxury price tag.
Seeing how much Mod + Jo has grown since that moment is humbling. The journey hasn't been without its challenges, but the core desire to create accessories that empower women with confidence has always driven us - pieces with the durability of expensive jewelry and the vintage-inspired beauty that feels uniquely yours, all at approachable prices.
