Permanent Jewelry FAQs

What is the price point? What is the price point?

The starting price for our mAud permanent jewelry is $108.

Our classic bracelets range from $108 - $248 with larger, specialty styles at $324 - $840. Anklets range from $198 - $356.

All charms are sold separately and range between $58 - $368.

Do I need an appointment? Do I need an appointment?

No, you no longer need appointments for our mAud permanent jewelry services. You and your party are welcome to walk in during our normal business hours each week.

You are always welcome to call us to check the wait times before arriving. You can reach us at 214-770-0833 ex1 during business hours.

What materials do you use for your permanent jewelry? What materials do you use for your permanent jewelry?

All of our mAud permanent jewelry styles are created with 14k yellow- and white-solid gold. Our 14k charms contain natural gemstone and diamond accents.

Will I get flagged at the airport? Will I get flagged at the airport?

Traveling is not an issue here! Travelers can wear real gold or silver jewelry through airport security without any issues, and you will not be required to remove it during security screening. Lesser quality "costume" jewelry may trigger the alarm if it contains magnetic metals (i.e., iron, nickel, and cobalt).

What if I need an MRI? What if I need an MRI?

Consult your doctor if you will be required to remove your permanent jewelry during your MRI appointment.

All ferrous metals (ie stainless steel) must be removed before entering the MRI exam room. If you aren’t sure if your jewelry contains ferrous metals, you can use a magnet at home and test in on your own - if the magnet tries to “grab” the jewelry, then it can not enter an MRI exam room. Gold and pure sterling silver are non-ferrous; however, depending on large the jewelry is and how close it is to the part of the body you are having scanned, your doctor may ask you to remove it.

If your doctor requires you to remove your welded bracelet or anklet for your MRI, you can always bring your piece back in and receive a re-weld for a $10 service fee.

What if I need to remove my jewelry or it breaks? What if I need to remove my jewelry or it breaks?

We ensure the integrity of our weld before your appointment is complete. However, things happen! Just because our pieces are designed to be permanent, it does not mean they're unbreakable. If you need to remove it or your welded jewelry comes off for any reason, you are welcome to bring it into our studio when you're ready to have your piece welded back on.*

*All rewelds incur a $10 service fee.

*If your jewelry is not in its original form and has been stretched beyond repair, a new piece will need to be purchased.

Can I add a charm to my existing mAud permanent jewelry piece? Can I add a charm to my existing mAud permanent jewelry piece?

Absolutely! If you're not ready to commit to a charm during your first visit, you're welcome to come back in the future and add to any existing mAud permanent jewelry piece.
